Michigan Super Drunk Super DUI Law

A 2010 change to drunk driving laws makes it possible for offenders with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) to be harshly punished under a Super Drunk or Super DUI category offense. Officially known as the “High Alcohol Enhanced Penalty Law,” persons who drive drunk with a BAC over twice the legal limit (0.17% or higher) can face enhanced criminal punishment, even for a first offense.
