If your Michigan driver's license has been suspended or revoked for a DUI/OWI or drug-related offense in Michigan, you will need to complete a substance abuse evaluation before you can request a driver's license hearing to recover your license. The Michigan Secretary of State requires this evaluation to determine whether a driver with a DUI arrest is likely to be arrested or charged again.
