Jared Shouey

My name is Jared Shuey. I was born and raised in Midland, Michigan, and I graduated from Midland High School.

After high school, I spent several years in the business world, holding management roles at several companies. I ultimately decided to return to school to complete my undergraduate education at Great Lakes Christian College. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in History and Biblical Theology. I graduated second in my class, summa cum laude.

Following undergrad, I attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where I graduated cum laude. I passed the Michigan bar exam on my first attempt.

After law school, I began practicing with Gower Law, where I spent approximately 12 to 13 years. During that time, I handled a wide range of matters, with a primary focus on criminal defense, criminal driver's license restoration, and select estate planning cases.

I also served in the United States Air Force as part of the Michigan Air National Guard for nine years. My specialty was logistics planning, and I separated with the rank of Technical Sergeant (E-6). I left the Guard a couple of years after graduating from law school.

I am now with Grabel & Associates, where my practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and, as needed, driver's license restoration matters.

Outside of practice, I'm married and live in Rockford, Michigan, with my wife and our family. I have two stepsons and one son. I'm actively involved in my church community and serve as an elder at Plainfield Christian Church in Comstock Park, where I participate in several ongoing activities and community efforts. In my free time, I enjoy golfing.

Regarding driver's license restoration, I have handled approximately 500 cases over my career. Based on my best estimate, at least 90% of those clients ultimately regained their driving privileges.
