Bonnie Prevette served as an assistant prosecutor for over 20 years. She worked for three years in Muskegon County and almost 18 years in Kent County. In Muskegon and Kent, she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases at both the misdemeanor and felony levels. As a Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Kent County, she successfully tried serious felony cases, including child abuse, sexual assault, and homicide.

As a former prosecutor, Ms. Prevette knows how to handle high-stakes, stressful cases without losing focus or composure. She brings a deep knowledge of how cases are investigated and prosecuted, including how evidence is evaluated and cases are built. She gets results because she understands prosecutorial strategies, plea negotiations, and common weaknesses in evidence.

Ms. Prevette was born and raised in Michigan. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations (James Madison College). She earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she served as Articles Editor of the Law Review.

She enjoys staying active with regular exercise and outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
