Genesee County Courts - Criminal Division

District Courts in Genesee County handle misdemeanor and felony arraignments, bail hearings, and preliminary examinations in felony cases. Genesee County District Courts also process traffic matters, and also preside over all proceedings pertaining to misdemeanor cases in which the potential penalty is less than one year.

There are five separate District Court jurisdictions in Genesee County.

The 67th District Court 1st Division has jurisdiction for the cities of Flushing and Clio, Townships of Flushing, Flint, Montrose, Thetford and Vienna.

The 67th District Court 2nd Division has jurisdiction for the cities of Davison and Burton, Townships of Davison, Forest, Richfield and Atlas, Goodrich Village, and Otisville Village.

The 67th District Court 3rd Division has jurisdiction for the cities of Mt. Morris, Townships Mt. Morris and Genesee. The 67th District Court 4th Division has jurisdiction for the cities of Fenton, Grand Blanc and Swartz Creek, Townships of Fenton, Argentine, Grand Blanc, Mundy, Gaines and Clayton.

The 68th District Court has jurisdiction over cases in the city of Flint.
